Our Goals
“Appointed to deliver the first phase of interior refurbishment at Consort Rise, upgrading communal corridors across all floors of a fully occupied residential building.”

Our Approach
Our team led the interior design and coordinated closely with surveying and contract administration colleagues to ensure a unified direction across all elements. The works focused on creating a calm, contemporary aesthetic supported by discreet lighting enhancements and practical additions such as console units. Sequencing and communication were central to the strategy, allowing residents to move safely through the building while the programme progressed in phased stages. Regular quality checks ensured consistency from floor to floor.
The Result
This first phase has uplifted the overall experience of the circulation spaces, introducing refreshed finishes, improved lighting, clearer signage, and a more refined atmosphere throughout the building. The upgrades provide immediate benefits for residents and visitors and establish a coherent design language for subsequent phases of improvement. The building now offers a noticeably more welcoming environment delivered through thoughtful planning and coordinated on-site management.
FAQs
The communal spaces in Consort Rise had become dated and no longer reflected the standard expected by residents or the prestige of the location. Wear across finishes, lighting limitations and inconsistent signage all contributed to a diminished user experience. Upgrading these areas was necessary to improve both usability and appearance, ensuring the building delivered a more appropriate and reliable environment for everyday movement through the property.
Phase one delivered a coordinated set of upgrades intended to refresh the look and feel of circulation areas. This included repainting, skirting restoration, new carpets, a feature lighting strategy with spots and wall sconces, updated signage and the addition of console units. Together, these elements created a calmer and more cohesive interior language, improving both function and visual quality throughout the building’s communal routes.
The programme was carefully phased, allowing essential movement routes to remain open and safe at all times. Clear communication with residents, the managing agent and building management supported each stage, helping to plan around busier periods and reduce inconvenience. Protective measures, tidy work zones and considered sequencing ensured the environment remained usable, while still allowing the refurbishment to progress steadily and efficiently across multiple floors.
The lighting strategy focused on improving visibility and atmosphere without adding visual clutter. Discreet ceiling spots provided consistent illumination along circulation routes, while selected wall sconces introduced softer accents at targeted points. The aim was to create a calm, balanced environment that felt more welcoming and contemporary. Better lighting also supported wayfinding clarity, making it easier for residents and visitors to navigate the building comfortably.
